Buying Budgeted PCs & Hardware Suggestions

Postby Ste\/e on Sun Jun 07, 2009 7:54 pm

Hey Datka, nice work with those super overlclocked Beasts, I'm still a student but I was wondering how I could convince my dad into buying me a cheap but worth gaming PC for these holidays, its extremely annoying to have a dad with a Powerful Quad Core machine that's left idle most of the time with only video editing programs on...
So I was thinking should I try to convince him into buying a budgeted or custom built PC that I could most probably build myself for something less than DH3000 could you give me some hardware suggestions to look for?

Thanks a lot!

Hi Steve
I think If you are not ACE if overclocking, 3000DH budget will not make you any good gaming. :(

Hi Dear
after a long time i am contecting you
1st thing i like to ask that in your budget PC can you use Intel Motherboard, the resion i am asking this that i have a Creative DXR3 Card which is compateble with Intel motherboard and not working with my ASUS motherboard so i wanna use it and not sure that it will work with your XFX mother board.

second could you tell me what is the price for your budget PC which is on display now

Last thing now core i5 is also avalable are you planning to make one as they are more cheeper if yes how much it can cost me

Dear ColdFire.
Sorry for a delayed reply. There is some problem in notification of this forum. I found your question only today.
Answer is: i7. Since core 2 is already a past
regarding N-Vidia or ATI. This is actually a brand discussion. Personally I swiched all my computer line on N-vidia only for PhysicX support.
Metter is only in drivers! but ATI did not licence them by some reason. Also if you choose ATI I would advise you 4870X2, and in case of N-Vidia GTX285
The comparison of all of them in benchmarks you can make in Sold items section of my page: http://www.datka98.com
Since I always benchmark and publish results for all tipes of my PCs. There are plenty of ATi and Nvidia different models of PC

Hi M A Saeed.

First of all, If you wont we can try your DXR3 on this PC. And If it works you can buy it. This XFX mother board is based on intel X58 chipset. So if your video board has drivers for 64 bit OS - it should work. if it doesn't - then you will weist 3 GBs of RAM.
The price is 6400DHs
I am not planning to use i5 since my targeted market is High End.
Thank you
